Temple History & Objectives

In 2008, a small group of Indian families got together to discuss the idea of a Hindu temple closer to home and with continued support from our community, have established Flower Mound Hindu temple in August 2009 at 3325 Long Prairie Road, Flower Mound, TX 75022 (besides Tarakari Indian Grocery). Lord Ganesh and Durga Ma were the deities originally part of the temple and subsequently Lord Siva & Nandi as well as Lord Balaji were enshrined. Prana Pratishta for Shiridi Sai Baba was performed on 22nd, August, 2010. Ever since, Flower Mound Hindu temple has continue to offer various religious classes and Language classes at Temple premises and celebrate various festivals and special events that have significance in Hinduism.

The main objectives of Flower Mound Hindu Temple are

To promote and practice ideals of Hindu and Hindu based religion through worship, education and cultural activities.

To strive for spiritual richness and human excellence through assimilation of values in Hindu scriptures into our daily lives.

To recognize and respect other religions and belief systems in their proper context.

To provide religious services to the community in and around Flower Mound

To collect and disburse any and all necessary funds for the maintenance of said organization and the accomplishment of its purpose within the State of Texas and elsewhere.

To make distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as amended.

This Temple is also organized to promote, encourage, and foster any other similar religious, charitable and educational activities; to accept, hold, invest, reinvest and administer any gifts, legacies, bequests, devises, funds and property of any sort or nature, and to use, expend, or donate the income or principle thereof for, and to devote the same to, the foregoing purposes of the Temple; and to do any and all lawful acts and things which may be necessary, useful, suitable, or proper for the furtherance of accomplishment of the purposes of this Temple. Provided, however, no act may be performed which would violate Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as it now exists or as it may hereafter be amended.

Timings are subject to change without prior notice.  Temple may be closed if priest is unavailable for any reason and there is no volunteer coverage during priest's absence. Thank you for understanding.
